Dates to be confirmed with our Term 1 February 2025 class. We usually host these on Weeks 1-5 of the school term, a Tuesday or Wednesday evening at 6-8pm.

Learn the basics of cake decorating with Lynn Broderick, from This Little Cakery.
This 5 week course covers:
- How to level your cake
- Filling & crumb coating
- How to make & colour your own buttercream
- Buttercream smoothing techniques including water colour and fault line
- Sharp edges with buttercream
- Various buttercream piping techniques including roses
- Tips & tricks for cake baking
- Plus have any questions you like answered along the way
This class is suitable for those who have little or no experience decorating cakes.
Course includes:
- All equipment and an apron are provided for you to use during the class
- Detailed course handbook to keep
- Access to Private Facebook Group for ongoing tips & tricks
- 10% discount on store purchases on the night (store open for half hour at end of class)
You will need to provide your own cakes and buttercream for the course - full recipes and step by step instructions will be provided. Buttercream will be provided for the first night.

$249 for 5 x 2-hour classes

The class is held in our classroom at Sweet Pea Parties, 70 Rostrevor Street, Hamilton. Parking is available outside the store.
Booking a Class:
This payment is for an online booking for a class. No physical vouchers or forms will be sent - you will receive an email from our Class Co-ordinator confirming your booking, and including information on what to bring with you for the first class.
Please Note: Confirmation emails are sent during business hours, so there will be a delay between making your purchase and being sent the course information email. Please check your junk mail for this email if you've not heard from us.
Cancellations:
We do not provide a credit or refund for missed classes. Sorry, we cannot provide any catch-up classes.
Cancellations advised more than 14 days from start of the course will receive a full refund. Between 14 days and 7 days we offer a 50% refund to cover an administration fee and loss of space. Cancellations advised within 7 days are not eligible for a refund, unless we are able to fill the vacancy from any wait list we have.
Occasionally, we are unable to reach the minimum numbers required for a class to go ahead and we must cancel at short notice. If this should happen, we will give you as much notice as we can and will, of course, provide you with a full refund of your course cost.
